Depression Self Help

16:12 0
Depression Self Help

One of the problems that affect us humans is a state of mind referred to as depression.

Exactly what is depression?

Why do we suddenly find ourselves stuck in a sea of inertia, unable to think positively, unable to hold on to positive thoughts, frozen in a zombie like state of inactivity?

Even experts disagree on the core causes of depression and the methods of treatment. Should they be palliative or something more uncompromising?

This is of course no help to us if we are immersed in the thickening fog of a bout of depression.

If we ever find ourselves in a state of depression we must find and build from within the strength, the motivation, the wish and the will to conquer this debilitating mind set.

First of all we have to accept that we alone allowed ourselves to drift into this parlous way of thinking.

The trigger could have been any one of a million reasons and may well have been an external event over which we had no control, however the antidote  has to be found within us and is under our control.

The first thing we need to understand is that we are not alone.

Read the newspapers and watch TV and over and over again there are accounts of people we would probably regard as ’having everything’ checking themselves into this or that clinic for help with some problem or other.

What for one person may be simply a mild set back can for another become the trigger which then sets off the internal self defeating process of the ‘poor me’ syndrome.

Why is it that a situation which is a mild irritation for one person can lead another to almost suicidal tendencies?

The answer is because we are all different in some way.

A visit to one of the many web sites offering behavioural profiling services will help you to identify your personal style as a first step to better understanding yourself

Once you understand why you react the way you do to certain situations you may then set about arranging your life so as to avoid those situations in the future or at least be better prepared to handle them when they do confront you.

Understanding yourself and why you react the way you do to situations with which you are faced is a prime initial requisite for self help with depression.

Learning, understanding and accepting that we can control what we allow to be accepted as fact by our brain is the next step. So often an initial perception turns out to be inaccurate.  Generally speaking nothing is ever so bad or, as good as it may at first appear.

What is important is to understand that it is possible for us to move to a position where we take preventative steps to ensure that we stay clear of infectious negative thoughts in the future.

Negative thoughts are the seed pearls of depression. These negative thoughts and internal video recordings of past failure and disappointment clog up our brain. They lay there dormant just waiting for the right set of circumstances to explode into action and cloud our thinking.

The late Dr. Hall, a clinical psychologist of international renown devoted his life to helping people understand who they were and then encouraging them to take the necessary steps to become who they really wanted to be.

Doctor George Hall discovered that it is possible to install a brain filter which stops negatives from being accepted by the brain. Just as we may install a virus checker or a firewall on our PC or Lap top we can install the same preventative systems in our brain.

Dr. Hall developed a personal development course called ‘Human Cybernetics’ it was a blueprint to follow for those who really did want to self improve and fully develop their potential in life.

I was privileged to be a student of Dr. Hall in 1975 and the tutorials he led were life changing for those of us fortunate enough to be exposed to his teachings.

Dangerous self talk and replaying internal tapes of past failures and disappointments he always propounded to be the most debilitating of activities a human being could engage in as this activity served only to reinforce a negative self image.

Negative self talk must immediately be replaced by constructive self talk and optimistic visual imaginings. Those negative tapes and videos in the mind must be deleted and recorded over with new images of success and achievement.

There are many self help courses available today. Try running a search on personal development or something similar and you will find many, many sites offering help and assistance much of which is free of charge.

There are also sites offering self-awareness questionnaires which are designed to help you focus on any deep seated negatives which may be holding you back from achieving your life dreams.

This may then be used by you as a platform from which to launch your new beginnings.

Self help for depression is all about taking that first step to control your future thoughts and activity.

Decide today to take charge of your life and to live it as you want to and not as others would have you live it.

Whatever you do, do it for you!

Ten Tips To Improve Your Self-Esteem

Ten Tips To Improve Your Self-Esteem

The best way to improve your life and earn the respect of others is to improve your self-esteem. This is not a very difficult task. All that it needs is good guidance. Here are ten tips that can happen when you improve your self--esteem.

1. You should surround yourself with people who are positive and supportive, and shun friends who are cynical and negative. This will generate a huge swell of positive feelings in you. You will respect yourself more, and your self-esteem will grow.

2. You should be clear about what you want to achieve in life. Set goals, and work for their achievement. To make your task easier, break your main goal into several smaller goals which are relatively easier to achieve. This will make the task of reaching your main goals seem easier. It will also give you a feeling of satisfaction whenever you achieve one of the smaller goals.

3. Always be positive about yourself and keep reminding yourself about your good qualities, your accomplishments and how you help your family, friends, others and yourself. Don’t make the mistake of brooding over negative things, and never put yourself down.

4. Develop the ability to accept criticism about yourself, without getting upset or defensive. This will help you eliminate your weaknesses one by one. However, make sure that the criticism is constructive. Don’t allow yourself to be overwhelmed by criticism that is cynical or meant to lower your self-esteem. This will be a great mistake, and do irreparable damage to your self-esteem.

5. We all need to accept the fact that we will fail from time to time. We should not let it get us down or to have too much of a negative effect on us. We should think that we have not been successful this time and that we will succeed the next time. This will help us to pull ourselves together and move on. Such an attitude will help us overcome the most difficult conditions.

6. Never compare yourself with others. This is the easiest way to feel inferior and lose self-esteem. It is much better to rate yourself on your achievements. Such an approach will give you self-confidence. At the same time it will make you feel better when dealing with your peer group.

7. Never put yourself down. Failures are like parasites. If you allow them to grow they will eat away your self-confidence, self-respect and self-esteem. The best is to push negative thoughts out of your mind, if you want others to treat you with respect. This can only happen when you project a positive exterior, even in most adverse situations. Make it a point to filter out all self-criticism.

8. Don’t give in to bullies in your place of work or in your personal life. You must learn to stand up to them. This can only happen if you are assertive about your rights. Of course, this does not mean that you should pick up physical battles to make your point. On the contrary, you should exercise restraint and make your point in a dignified manner. This will not only make others treat you with respect but also increase your self-esteem.

9. You may be self-conscious and because of this you may avoid talking to groups of people. Try to approach groups of people and introduce yourself to them. Ask them questions about themselves and try to be genuinely interested in the answers. Listen carefully and attentively to what they say and respond to show your interest. Interacting with people will make you feel more relaxed. You will realize that it is easy to speak to groups of people and to relax by concentrating on what others are saying, rather than on yourself.

10. Self-esteem is also dependent upon the felling of well-being. A lazy person or a poorly groomed person will always feel inferior to a confident, smart individual. So, you need to take good care of your body. Remember, a healthy body is essential for a healthy mind.

HOW TO ACHIEVE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

HOW TO ACHIEVE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Emotional intelligence is a valuable skill that many people strive to master. It’s a combination of self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, and constructive relationships that bring about a person’s ability to understand their own emotions, as well as those of others.

This understanding can lead to improved communication, better decision-making, and overall higher performance in both personal and professional life. Developing emotional intelligence is not easy; however, it can still be learned and mastered with consistent effort and dedication.

In this blog post, we will discuss how to achieve emotional intelligence, including practical tips and strategies that can be implemented in everyday life.

Whether you’re looking to improve a relationship, better your workplace performance, or just become more aware of your own emotions, this blog post is for you.

By the end, you should have a better understanding of what emotional intelligence is and how to use it to your advantage. So, let’s get started!

1. Develop Self-Awareness

Developing self-awareness is the foundation for emotional intelligence. Self-awareness is the ability to recognize and understand your feelings and behaviors and how they influence situations and people around you.

It is important to know what you are feeling and why you are feeling it. This understanding can help you make better choices by recognizing the potential consequences of each emotion and behavior.

Being self-aware can also give you insight into your strengths, weaknesses, and values. With this knowledge, you can better assess and manage your emotions and behaviors, and make more intelligent decisions.

2. Identify and Manage Your Emotions

Emotional intelligence is about being aware of your emotions and learning how to manage them. It is essential to developing healthy relationships and achieving success in life.

The first step to emotional intelligence is being able to identify your emotions. You can do this by simply noticing how you feel and asking yourself questions like, “What am I feeling right now?” Once you’ve identified your emotions, the next step is to manage them.

You can use techniques such as deep breathing, journaling, and talking to someone to help you process your feelings and make better decisions. With practice, you can gain greater control over your emotions and become more emotionally intelligent.

3. Develop Empathy

Developing empathy is an essential part of achieving emotional intelligence. Empathy is the ability to perceive and understand the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of others.

By being able to “walk in someone else’s shoes”, we can gain insight into their motivations and better understand the situations they are going through. This can help us solve conflicts more effectively, build stronger relationships, and develop a greater understanding of our own emotions.

To become more empathetic, focus on active listening, practice self-awareness, and put yourself in the other person’s position. This will help you to become more understanding and compassionate.

4. Maintain Positive Relationships

Maintaining positive relationships is an important part of emotional intelligence. Positive relationships foster feelings of security, self-worth, and support.

Cultivating and maintaining these relationships is essential for our emotional wellbeing. To do this, it is important to practice empathy, be a good listener and active communicator, and show respect and kindness towards those around you.

It is also important to be aware of the impact your behaviour has on those around you. By being thoughtful and mindful of the relationships you have, you can create and sustain healthy connections with others.

5. Communicate Effectively

Communication is one of the most important skills for emotional intelligence. This means being able to both express your thoughts and feelings to others, as well as listen to theirs.

Effective communication requires being able to understand different perspectives and how to best respond to them in a way that is respectful and understanding. Good communication also means being able to be assertive and to set boundaries, while still being open to hearing other people’s opinions.

Working on your communication skills will not only help you to be more emotionally intelligent, but it can also help your relationships with others to be more meaningful and productive.

6. Handle Stress

We all experience stress, whether psychologically, emotionally, or physically. It can be caused by external events like a job loss, or internal events like a nagging worry.

To achieve emotional intelligence, it is important to learn how to manage stress in a healthy way. There are several strategies you can use.

First, it is important to recognize and acknowledge when you are feeling overwhelmed. Taking a few deep breaths and counting to ten can help you to take stock of the situation and decide on an appropriate response.

Secondly, it is important to identify what is causing your stress. Once you know the source, you can find ways to address it either directly or indirectly.

Lastly, try to practice healthy self-care activities like meditation, yoga, or journaling, which can provide a sense of wellbeing and peace.

7. Make Good Decisions

Making good decisions is a key part of achieving emotional intelligence. When we take the time to make well thought out decisions, we are able to take into consideration more than just our own wishes and feelings.

We can think about the potential outcomes of our decisions, and how they may affect our relationships with others. This involves learning to step back and objectively review the situation and our possible decisions.

We can also use our emotional intelligence to understand the emotions of those around us, and weigh these perspectives into our decisions. By taking the time to make decisions thoughtfully and considerately, we become more emotionally intelligent.

8. Learn Conflict Resolution

Conflict resolution is an important part of emotional intelligence. When faced with a conflict, it is important to take a step back, assess the situation objectively, and look for a solution that is beneficial to both parties.

It is also important to be willing to compromise and understand the perspective of the other party.

Learning to effectively resolve conflicts can help to reduce stress, build trust, and strengthen relationships. Additionally, it can help to improve communication and build better team dynamics.

Conclusions

Emotional intelligence is an important tool for success in life. It involves understanding and managing your own emotions, as well as those of others.

It can be developed through self-reflection, recognizing and understanding emotions, and communicating effectively.

With practice, you can improve your emotional intelligence and achieve greater success in life.

Benefits of such programs can maximize your energy, lose weight, maintain good health, enhance your creativity, reduce stress , develop more fulfilling relationships, reach profound meditative states, discover a greater meaning in life, expanding your awareness, strengthen your immune system, take your spirituality to new levels.

You can also find a greater sense of self, master universal dynamics and processes and become the person you want to be they take advantage of the current research and proven practices from nutrition, exercise and psychology to discoveries in the fields of relaxation and spirituality. most other self-help programs that focus on one system or philosophy, some are holistic - or big-picture - approach that addresses all aspects of a person's well-being.

Most of them goes well beyond offering you the theories behind our programs to give you practical tools and activities to put the power of our programs to work in your life and these programs or lessons are easy to follow, quick to implement and fun to participate in.

Audio self help tapes

On a typical self-help tape, you will hear a pleasant and easy to listen to English voice which will guide you into a deeply relaxed state of mind and body. To enhance the therapeutic effect each tape includes layered echoed background affirmations, a deeply relaxing effect, which pan from left to right in your headphones & 3D Sound effects.

So at times you'll hear one voice in one ear speaking to the left hemisphere of your brain, while at the same time hearing other echoed voices addressing other parts of your brain.

This powerful method of delivering multiple suggestions simultaneously to the unconscious mind can facilitate positive changes very quickly. In addition to this the absorbing 60 bpm sound effects and powerful subliminal suggestions enhance the overall effectiveness.

How to take advantage of such programs

Speaking from a job organization behavioral point of view let us take a look at what motivation is all about and how to improve it. The human brain as I mentioned earlier is a virtual warehouse of energy.

There is nothing that we cannot do once we put our minds to it. Yeah, sure, all that has been proved time and again, but along with it comes a string attached. The same brain is easily distracted. In fact our imagination is probably the one thing that can travel faster than light. And so it is not an easy task to keep the brain occupied in the same task for an extended period of time. If the job is monotonous the task becomes more difficult and if the job is demanding and involves a lot of pressure to keep time, then you are done for.

Motivation can be thought of as the process of channeling the surplus energy of the brain towards a definite goal or purpose. If you have a good boss or supervisor, then the task of keeping you motivated rests with them. But even then, you have the responsibility to keep yours self motivated and believe me, self motivation is the best motivation because it comes from within.

HOW TO DEVELOP A PROSPERITY CONSCIOUSNESS

14:02 0
HOW TO DEVELOP A PROSPERITY CONSCIOUSNESS

In today’s world, success is often measured by a person’s material wealth. Those of us that have a strong ambition for success and success-driven lifestyles often navigate life with the goal of achieving financial prosperity.

Developing a prosperity consciousness is a powerful practice that can help one to create an abundance mindset and amplify one’s sense of success. A prosperity consciousness is an attitude of gratitude and an appreciation for the abundance that already exists in one’s life. It can help to increase positive energy and create new opportunities.

Understanding how to cultivate a prosperity consciousness can help anyone to develop a more positive outlook on life and create a powerful foundation for success and abundance. In this blog post, we will discuss how to develop a prosperity consciousness. We will identify the importance of having a positive attitude, discuss how to manifest abundance, and provide tips on how to instill a sense of gratitude into both one’s thoughts and actions.

1. Believe in abundance

Developing a prosperity consciousness starts with a fundamental belief in abundance. This means believing that the universe is abundant and that you can attract what you desire.

By believing in abundance, you create a feeling of openness and optimism that opens up the universe to you. You will become more confident in asking for what you want and more likely to receive it.

Believing in abundance also allows you to be generous with others, recognizing that when you give, you will receive.

2. Identify limiting beliefs

Part of creating a prosperous consciousness is identifying your limiting beliefs. These are the ideas, beliefs, and assumptions that you have about money, success, and abundance that may be preventing you from achieving your goals.

It's important to understand that these beliefs are often subconscious and are not always easy to identify. To help you identify them, ask yourself questions like: what do I believe about money?

What do I believe about success? What do I believe is possible for me? Once you have identified your limiting beliefs, you can start to challenge and reframe them. This is an important step in creating a prosperous consciousness.

3. Focus on gratitude

Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools we have to develop a prosperous consciousness. It's an attitude that allows us to acknowledge the goodness and abundance in our lives, no matter what situation we find ourselves in.

This can be anything from the beauty of nature, to the kindness of strangers, to the gifts of our relationships. When we focus on the good, it opens our hearts and minds to receive more of the same.

Every day, make it a point to name at least three things that you're grateful for. This can be as simple as a good cup of coffee, a beautiful sunset, or the laughter of a child. Taking the time to focus on gratitude helps us to live in the present moment and cultivate more joy and abundance.

4. Let go of fear

The fourth step in developing a prosperity consciousness is to let go of fear. Fear is a powerful emotion, and if it's not managed it can stop you from achieving your goals.

Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of the unknown - all of these can prevent us from taking the actions we need to take to experience true prosperity. To overcome this fear, it's important to take a step back and evaluate the source of your fear - is it rational or irrational?

Once you have identified the source, you can begin to work on reframing it or replacing it with a more positive emotion. By letting go of fear, you create space for courage, hope, and abundance to enter your life.

5. Take inspired action

Taking inspired action is crucial to developing a prosperity consciousness. When you take inspired action, you are being guided by your intuition and inner wisdom.

You are no longer being held back by fear or doubt, but instead are led by your highest self in the direction that will bring you success and abundance. When you take inspired action, you are opened up to new opportunities and possibilities that you wouldn't have had access to before.

Taking inspired action is a powerful way to manifest your desires and create a life of abundance.

6. Surround yourself with positive people

One of the most important steps in developing a prosperity consciousness is to surround yourself with positive people. Having positive people in your life can give you the motivation and support you need to stay focused on achieving your goals and dreams.

Positive people will help you stay motivated by sharing their stories of success and helping you stay focused on the end goal. Additionally, positive people can be great sources of encouragement when you’re feeling down or discouraged.

They will remind you of your worth and inspire you to keep going.

7. Visualize success

Visualization is the key to success when it comes to developing a prosperity consciousness. Visualizing your success can help you create the life of your dreams.

Visualizing yourself achieving your goals can help keep you motivated and focused on your goal. It is also a powerful way to manifest the life you want. Visualizing success also helps to create a positive attitude and increase your self-confidence.

When you visualize success, you are creating a powerful mental image in your mind of what is possible for your future. Visualizing success can help you stay focused and inspired to take the necessary steps to achieve your goals.

8. Practice affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you reprogram your subconscious mind to focus on abundance and prosperity. When used regularly, affirmations help to increase self-confidence and self-belief, allowing you to think and act in ways that help you to attract what you want in life.

When crafting affirmations for prosperity, it is important to focus on the present and take actions that will move you towards your goals. You should also use affirmations that are specific and measurable, such as “I am grateful for the abundance of money I now have” or “I am a confident and successful person”.

Regular practice of these affirmations will help you to develop a positive and prosperous mindset.

Conclusions

In conclusion, developing a prosperity consciousness is a powerful way to improve your life and create lasting change.

It requires commitment, effort, and consistency but the rewards are worth it. When you focus on abundance and manifesting wealth, you open yourself up to new possibilities and opportunities.

By having a prosperity consciousness, you will become more successful and happier.

The Only True Self Improvement

15:18 0
The Only True Self Improvement

When we browse the Web, we can notice that almost every directory has a category that deals with self-improvement. This subject has become very popular. Every human being that at least possesses a little bit of conscience tries to improve herself or is at least interested at a thought of such a striving.

The higher the moral level of a man, the stronger is his or her desire to improve. Those people who are convenient but do not feel very good about themselves if they miss the feeling that they work on their own improvement, will at least read articles and books how to improve themselves, but as a matter of fact, their reading will be the only one thing that they will really do. On the other hand, there are also people who really want to improve themselves and actively try to follow any well-meant piece of advice how to become better.

However, the problem is that hardly any out of all the available advices which are supposed to show you the way how you can improve yourself is really effective and safe. To be frank, I have to say that the most effective way how to improve is even very uncomfortable.

To understand my point of view, you should know that I believe in reincarnation, in harmony in all Nature and in the balance of all the opposites. I also believe that all people together are one whole and because everything is related to any other thing, in the same way the destiny of each one of us is related with the destiny of all other people.

As opposites reign to us all and balance always tries to be restored, we should avoid any extreme in our life to prevent the opposite extreme in the life of other people. If we are too rich, others will have to be too poor. If we are too healthy, others will have to be too ill. If we are too happy, others will have to be too unhappy. If we are too good, others will have to be too bad.

Because we are one whole, then to improve this whole, one must try to improve both himself and all the other at once. To improve all mankind - to help all mankind, it means to help the most suffering ones first of all. But how can they be helped?

Who is ill and cannot be healed, let him enter new body in the next life of his or her soul by euthanasia, who has suffered a serious accident let him be helped by all other people, who is too poor and does not have enough money to life, let him be gifted by the rich.

Remember that if you helped any other man, you helped yourself because if there will be no excessive suffering on the world, neither you soul will have to excessively suffer, whether it will be in it's present or future life. So any help to any other man in fact is a help to yourself. True self-improvement consists in the restriction of one's own happiness for the purpose of helping all the other people by sharing any above-average possession with them.

Everybody should be averagely rich and averagely happy. Only then he will neither suffer too much nor he will cause any occurence of too much suffering people. Let everybody live in a medium happiness with medium possession and let him have the same price like that of all other people.

Now ask yourself: Are you the rich who will not support the poor with your money? Do you enjoy a good state of health and at the same time do not feel with those who suffer most and you are not willing to bear a part of their big pain on your own shoulders? If it is so, then please stop reading articles and books about self improvement since you will never improve yourself in the proper way. For the only self-improvement is to sacrifice a part of what you've got to help the other. There is no other self-improvement.
